Coffee & Quality

What does ‘IZH Coffee’ mean?

The IZH name reflects our commitment to honest, carefully sourced coffee — a Bangladesh-based roaster bringing the world's finest coffee origins to your cup. Among them are storied monsoon-coast origins whose humid winds slowly mellow the beans — the tradition behind our smooth, low-acidity IZH Monsoon Reserve.

What quality of coffee do you use?

Only 100% specialty-grade Arabica — the highest grade of coffee in the world. Every lot is cupped and scored for standout aroma, flavour, acidity or body before it earns a place in our line-up.

How does freshness affect coffee quality?

Many of the flavour and aroma compounds that make coffee delicious are fragile and fade within weeks of roasting. Most supermarket coffee was roasted months ago and is stale by the time you open it. We roast Monday–Friday and ship the next day, so you enjoy it at its peak.

Coffee can also be too fresh — it needs to rest and release carbon dioxide first. Lighter roasts for manual brewing are best 2–3 days after roasting; darker espresso roasts after 4–5 days.

Is specialty coffee really better than instant coffee?

The farms we source from grow specialty coffee, the highest quality of coffee globally. A long tradition of tea culture and the spread of cheap instant coffee have left premium coffee under-appreciated here. As a Bangladesh-based roaster, we bring these outstanding beans — alongside the world's other great origins — fresh to coffee lovers in Bangladesh.

I'm new to coffee — where should I start?

Start with a smooth, approachable cup like our IZH Monsoon Reserve, or our no-equipment range (drip bags and easy-pour) if you don't own a brewer yet. Not sure? Tap the chat bubble and our assistant will match a coffee to your taste.

Do you sell whole beans and ground coffee?

Both. Order whole beans to grind at home, or pick the right grind for your brew method — espresso, pour-over, French press, moka pot and more — right on the product page.

Brewing & Storage

When is my coffee ready to brew after roasting?

Give it a short rest to reach its best. Lighter roasts for manual brewing shine 2–3 days after roasting; darker roasts for espresso are best after 4–5 days.

What's the best way to store my coffee?

Oxygen and moisture are coffee's biggest enemies. Skip the fridge — condensation and food odours ruin the beans. Keep coffee in an airtight container in a cool, dark cupboard, and buy little and often (about every 2 weeks) for the freshest cup.

Can you help me brew a better cup?

Yes! Explore our brewing guides, ask our AI assistant on any page, or email us — we love talking coffee.
