Traceability & Freshness
Fazenda Serra Azul has farmed the rolling hills of Sul de Minas under Rainforest Alliance certification for years, keeping native forest corridors between the coffee blocks. Never satisfied with off-the-shelf equipment, the producers designed and built their own pulper to control exactly how much fruit stays on each bean. Midnight Roast is that obsession, poured dark into a cup.

About this coffee
Midnight Roast proves a dark coffee can carry a sense of place. Its beans grow on a Rainforest Alliance Certified farm in Sul de Minas, where the producers built a custom-designed pulper to process each harvest with unusual precision — part washed for cleanliness, part pulped natural for sweetness. Roasted dark, the combination turns out a deep, smooth cup: toasted nuts, a whisper of warm spice, and a body made for slow late-night sipping.
Key Features
- Dark roast: nutty, gently spiced, deep and smooth
- From a Rainforest Alliance Certified farm
- Washed and pulped natural lots via a custom-designed pulper
- Single origin from Sul de Minas, Brazil
- 250 g, 500 g and 1 kg; whole bean or thirteen grind options
Brewing Suggestions
This is a natural for espresso and Moka pot, where the nutty depth turns almost praline-like. As a French press brew it makes a substantial black cup for long evenings; with steamed milk it becomes a serious cortado. Keep water just below boiling to preserve the smooth finish.
