Traceability & Freshness
Finca La Cumbre anchors this blend from a wind-sheltered valley high in Huehuetenango, where the Morales family ferments each day's picking separately and keeps only the tanks that sing. We matched their honeyed lot with a floral Yirgacheffe from our Konga Ridge partners - two micro-climates, one unusually complete cup.
About this product
A melting pot of micro-climates: the IZH Micro-Lot Blend brings together small, standout lots from our partner farms in Guatemala's Huehuetenango and Ethiopia's Yirgacheffe. Washed processing keeps both voices clean, and the medium roast lets them harmonise - layered sweetness and body from the Guatemalan side, a bright, evolving finish from the Ethiopian. Limited 250 g release.

About this coffee
Blends usually chase consistency; this one chases conversation. We took two washed micro-lots that impressed us on the cupping table for opposite reasons - a structured, honeyed Huehuetenango and a floral, citrus-tipped Yirgacheffe - and roasted them to a point where neither dominates. The result is layered and complex: sweetness first, a rounded body underneath, then a bright finish that keeps shifting as the cup cools.

- Huehuetenango structure meets Yirgacheffe brightness

- Medium roast balancing clarity and comfort
- 250 g packs, roasted to order in Dhaka
Brewing Suggestions
A pourover shows off the layers best - 1:16 ratio, water just off the boil - while an Aeropress pulls the sweetness forward for a denser cup. It also makes an unusually elegant filter-style iced coffee; brew strong and pour straight over ice.
