The Brazilian half of this pack comes from Fazenda Vale Dourado, a family-run farm on the red-earth slopes of Alta Mogiana where cherries are patio-dried whole under steady plateau sun. Its partner lot is grown by smallholders around Buesaco in Nariño, whose steep, high plots ripen slowly and cup remarkably clean. We have bought from both partners for several seasons precisely because they meet so well over ice.

Our go-to pairing for summer brewing: two 250 g coffees chosen because they steep beautifully cold. A washed lot from Nariño, Colombia keeps the glass bright and nutty, while a natural from Alta Mogiana, Brazil layers in chocolate and caramel. Roasted to order in Dhaka, ground for cold brew or left whole, and shipped nationwide in 2-4 days.

Brewing tips

It pairs two coffees that behave very differently in a long, cold steep: a washed lot from Nariño, Colombia that stays clean, nutty and quietly fruity, and a natural from Alta Mogiana, Brazil that gives the glass its chocolate-and-caramel backbone. Together they cover both moods of cold brew — one bright and easy, one rich enough for milk.

Brewing Suggestions

Grind coarse, like breadcrumbs. Steep 1 part coffee to 8 parts cool water in the fridge for 14-18 hours, then strain through a fine sieve or cloth. Serve the Colombian over ice with nothing added; give the Brazilian a splash of milk or condensed milk for an easy afternoon glass.
