Traceability & Freshness
The Dumerso Valley Smallholders tend tiny garden plots at the cold upper edge of where arabica will grow in Yirgacheffe. Their natural lots dry on raised beds for the better part of a month, turned by hand daily — patience that concentrates the berries-and-blossom character this reserve is loved for.
About this product

Small-batch, softly spoken and genuinely special. Available 250 g to 1 kg, roasted to order.

About this coffee
Altitude is the quiet ingredient in this cup. Grown above two thousand metres in the Yirgacheffe highlands, the Highland Reserve ripens slowly in thin, cold air — and careful natural processing keeps that concentrated sweetness. Roasted medium, it pours bright and clean with delicate florality over ripe berry, finishing smooth and long. A reserve lot in the honest sense: small, seasonal, worth catching.

From the farm
The Dumerso Valley Smallholders farm some of the highest coffee gardens in Yirgacheffe, drying natural lots on raised beds for weeks in cool mountain air. Slow, weather-watching work — exactly why this coffee tastes the way it does.
Brewing Suggestions
A pourover at 1:16 with a medium grind shows the florals at their clearest; the Aeropress trades a little brightness for a plusher body. Let the cup cool for a few minutes before judging it — this coffee rearranges itself as the temperature drops, always for the better.
