Traceability & Freshness
At Finca Buena Vista, high on Huehuetenango's limestone slopes, peaberries were once sold off with the odd lots — until the family began sorting them by hand and cupping them separately. The difference was impossible to ignore. They now set aside their peaberry harvest each year, and we take as much of it as they will let us.

A special two-pack — 125 g each — celebrating our favourite quirk of nature. Peaberries form when a cherry grows one round bean instead of two flat ones; hand-sorted from a washed Huehuetenango harvest, they roll and roast beautifully evenly. The cup is concentrated, vibrant and aromatic: bright fruit, honeyed sweetness and a lively, polished finish.
Brewing tips

About this coffee
Roughly one cherry in twenty grows a single round bean instead of the usual facing pair — the peaberry, long prized by roasters because it tumbles evenly in the drum and concentrates the seed's character into one small sphere. These were hand-sorted from a washed harvest in Huehuetenango, Guatemala and roasted light. Expect a vivid, aromatic cup: bright fruit, honeyed sweetness and an intensity the same farm's flat beans only hint at.

Brewing Suggestions
Grind just before brewing — peaberries hold their aromatics tightly and release them all at once. A pourover or Aeropress at a slightly finer grind than usual brings out the honeyed intensity. Open the second 125 g pack only when the first is finished; freshness is half this coffee's charm.
